Greg Berlanti Sets Up Multiple Projects Across Multiple Streamers
Greg Berlanti, one of the most prolific producers in Hollywood, has recently set up multiple projects across multiple streamers on which he will serve as co-writer. His latest venture includes collaborating with Carly Wray on the horror thriller “Stillwater,” based on the Skybound comic book of the same name by Chip Zdarsky and Ramon K. Perez.
The official logline for “Stillwater” reads, “When ex-con Daniel West receives a mysterious letter promising answers about his past and a substantial inheritance in the small town of Stillwater, he discovers a community where nothing ever ages, no one ever dies, and nobody ever gets out.” Berlanti and Wray will serve as writers and executive producers for the show.
Executive producing for Skybound Entertainment are Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Rick Jacobs, Glenn Geller, and Zdarsky. Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman will executive produce for Berlanti Producitons, with Robbie Rogers and Jonathan Gabay also executive producing. The studio behind the project is WBTV.
Aside from “Stillwater,” Berlanti is also working on the spec script “Foster Dade,” co-written with Bathsheba Doran. The project, based on the novel “Foster Dade Explores the Cosmos” by Nash Jenkins, has been acquired by Hulu with plans for a pilot order. The story follows a narrator who moves into Foster’s old dorm room at an elite boarding school, sparking an investigation into a scandal that shook the campus.
Joining Berlanti and Doran as executive producers for “Foster Dade” are Schechter, Redman, and Donald De Line of De Line Pictures. Warner Bros. Television is the studio behind the project.
Berlanti’s production company, Berlanti Prods., is currently working on various projects including the final season of “You” at Netflix, “Found” and “Brilliant Minds” at NBC, and “All American” at The CW.
With CAA as his representation, Berlanti continues to expand his creative endeavors in the entertainment industry. The series order and development news were first reported by Deadline.
