The Bell family, devastated by the tragic loss of their daughter Paige, has traveled to the Bahamas to face the man accused of sexually assaulting and murdering her. Paige Bell, known as the “golden girl” crew member, was found dead in the ship’s engine room on July 3, just days before her 21st birthday. Brigido Munoz, a 40-year-old Mexican national, has been charged with her murder.

As the harrowing details of Paige’s death unfolded in court, her parents, Michelle and John Bell, were present on the island to begin the difficult process of bringing their daughter home. Paige’s sister, Chelsey Jacobs, expressed the family’s desire for justice for the perpetrator who took her life.

During the court hearing, it was revealed that Paige had slash wounds on her neck and additional injuries on her arms, indicating a struggle with her attacker. Although her body was partially dressed, authorities suspect that she may have been sexually assaulted. Munoz, who was found with injuries on his arms from a suicide attempt, has only been charged with murder at this time.

Both Paige and Munoz worked on the Far From It superyacht, which offered charters for nearly $140,000 a week. The vessel was anchored off Harbour Island at the time of Paige’s death. Hailing from Johannesburg, Paige was described as a cherished member of the yachting community, with former colleagues praising her vibrant energy and positivity.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to assist the Bell family in repatriating Paige’s remains and covering funeral expenses. The circumstances surrounding Paige’s death remain unclear, and the police investigation is ongoing. Munoz has been denied bail and will remain in custody until his hearing on November 20.

The Bell family continues to mourn the loss of their beloved daughter, seeking closure and justice for Paige’s untimely passing. The yachting world has been shaken by this tragedy, as colleagues and friends remember Paige as a dedicated and inspiring individual who aspired to excel in her career. The community stands in solidarity with the Bells as they navigate this heartbreaking journey.
