Remembering Steve Pepoon: A Beloved Writer and Family Man
Steve Pepoon, born on May 19, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, was a talented writer known for his work on the popular TV show ALF. After graduating from Kansas State University in 1978, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his writing career, which eventually led him to the opportunity to work on ALF.
Tragically, on May 3, 2025, Steve passed away. His wife Mary shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, expressing the deep sadness felt by the family and friends who cherished him. A celebration of life event is being planned to honor his memory.
Steve is survived by his brothers, Michael and Bill, as well as his sisters-in-law Sonja and Francesca. He is also remembered by his stepchildren Katie and Nick, and his beloved grandchildren Micah, McKenzie, Lily, Audrey, and Dean.
Steve Pepoon’s contributions to the entertainment industry and his impact on those around him will not be forgotten. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on through his work and the memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
