At the same time, he is also dealing with new criminal charges brought against him by a New York grand jury. According to his attorney, Arthur Aidala, Weinstein “almost died” before undergoing surgery last weekend. The surgery was necessary to address complications with his heart. Following the procedure, Weinstein was reported to be in stable condition. His lawyer, Craig Rothfeld, confirmed that he had undergone treatment to remove fluid from his heart and lungs.
Weinstein’s spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, stated that his condition is currently stable and he is resting. The former film executive has a history of health problems, including diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, and fluid in his heart and lungs.

He is now facing new allegations of rape and sexual misconduct from more than 100 individuals. In light of his recent health scare, Weinstein is currently recovering in a Manhattan hospital. His legal team successfully petitioned to have him transferred to Bellevue Hospital for better medical supervision.
