A disturbing incident involving a deranged sex offender has recently come to light, with federal officials and NYPD cops being threatened by the individual in a series of alarming social media posts. Nathan White, aged 54, went on a tirade on his public X account, threatening to kill Big Apple Jews and cursing them with death. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz revealed that White posted five hateful messages between Nov. 7 and 9, including one where he boasted about assaulting an Israeli on a New York City train.
In one of his posts, White used the handle “BXsniper” to claim that he beat up an Israeli on the subway and issued threats against federal authorities and the NYPD. These threats led to his arrest on Nov. 10, and he was indicted on federal hate-crime charges, including making terroristic threats as a hate crime, aggravated harassment, and making terroristic threats.
This is not the first time White has had a run-in with the law, as records show he was convicted of a sexual assault in 1987. Following his release from prison, he acquired at least six more arrests, including a violent robbery in East Harlem in 2015. After serving time for the robbery, White was homeless and living in a men’s shelter in Rosedale before his recent arrest.
White’s disturbing posts, primarily targeting Jews, have since been deleted. However, they included threats of violence and expressions of hatred towards Israelis and Jews in general. When questioned by authorities, White admitted to writing the posts and subsequently deleting them.
Queens DA Melinda Katz emphasized the seriousness of White’s antisemitic statements, noting that such hate speech can escalate to real-world violence, especially in a time when antisemitic incidents are on the rise. If convicted, White could face up to 15 years in prison. He is currently held on bail pending his next court date on Feb. 19.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of online hate speech and the importance of addressing and combating such behavior to prevent potential acts of violence.
