Netflix has announced that viewers can once again check into the “Haunted Hotel,” as the popular adult animated comedy earns a second season renewal.

Plot Overview

The series, crafted by “Rick and Morty” writer Matt Roller, centers around a single mother who must balance the challenges of parenting two children while managing the Undervale Hotel, a rather unique establishment that is haunted. To make matters more interesting, she receives unexpected support from her estranged brother, who finds himself as one of the resident ghosts within the hotel.

“Haunted Hotel” features an impressive voice cast, including Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson. The first season debuted in September after Netflix secured the project in a “highly competitive auction.” Just one week after its launch, the show received the green light for a second season.

Matt Roller serves as the showrunner for “Haunted Hotel.” His previous credits include working as a co-executive producer on Dan Harmon’s “Krapopolis” and Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s “Mr. Mayor,” as well as contributing to two seasons of “The Goldbergs.” Roller is also known for his writing talents on popular shows like “Speechless,” “Community,” “Son of Zorn,” “Rick and Morty,” and FX’s “Archer.”
