Oil rig

The state of Hawaii has launched a lawsuit against major oil companies, alleging their products contribute significantly to climate change. Yet, intriguingly, they have chosen to exempt one particular refinery, owned by a company whose executives are notable Democratic donors. What a curious twist of fate!

This situation raises eyebrows, especially considering that the discourse surrounding climate change seems to have taken a backseat whenever left-leaning factions target things like Teslas, seemingly driven by their own agendas rather than genuine concern for the environment.

It wouldn’t be surprising if the legal representatives for the oil companies use this glaring inconsistency to their advantage.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

Hawaii Sues Oil Industry for Causing Climate Change—But Spares State’s Largest Refiner Whose Executives Donate to Dems

The State of Hawaii recently filed a significant lawsuit against a dozen prominent oil companies and the largest oil industry association, accusing them of marketing products that have led to rising temperatures, increased sea levels, more frequent flooding, coastal erosion, and heightened heat waves.

However, Hawaii’s extensive complaint—which aims to compel the oil industry defendants to pay hundreds of millions in damages—has notably excluded Houston-based Par Pacific and its subsidiary Par Hawaii, the operator of the only petroleum refinery in Hawaii and the leading supplier of gasoline and jet fuel in the state. This exclusion means that the lawsuit has spared a company that is arguably a major contributor to emissions in Hawaii.

The complaint only briefly mentions Par’s Hawaii refinery, criticizing ExxonMobil for supplying crude oil to the facility that is subsequently ‘refined in Hawaii and distributed to consumers.’ Alongside ExxonMobil and the American Petroleum Institute, the defendants include BP, Chevron, Shell, Equilon Enterprises, Sunoco, Aloha Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, Phillips 66, Woodside Energy Hawaii, and BHP Hawaii.

Is it not glaringly apparent what is unfolding here?

Between this and the Tesla vandals, I’m pretty sure that clinches “climate change” as definitely a partisan racket and probably a hoax

It would not be surprising if any rational judge dismissed this lawsuit outright.
