On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee took a firm stance, announcing that Anthony Bernal, Chief of Staff to Jill Biden, has chosen to defy congressional inquiries regarding President Joe Biden’s cognitive health. This decision comes after the White House lifted its executive privilege, a move that Committee members argue should have facilitated transparency.

“With executive privilege now out of the equation, it’s painfully clear that Anthony Bernal—Jill Biden’s so-called ‘work husband’—never had any intention of being forthright about the President’s cognitive decline or the subsequent cover-up. Faced with the reality of no longer having privilege as a shield, it appears Mr. Bernal is now retreating, anxious to obscure the truth. The American people are entitled to clarity and accountability, and we, on the Oversight Committee, will not stand for this obstruction. I will swiftly issue a subpoena to compel Anthony Bernal’s testimony before the Committee,” stated a member of the Oversight Committee.

“Just yesterday, we heard from Neera Tanden, the former Staff Secretary responsible for managing the Biden autopen. Ms. Tanden revealed that her interactions with President Biden were limited, despite her significant authority. She disclosed that to secure approval for autopen signatures, she would dispatch memos to the President’s inner circle, lacking insight into what transpired between sending the memo and receiving it back with a signature. Her testimony raises profound questions about who was truly steering the ship in the Biden administration during the President’s apparent decline. We will relentlessly pursue the truth on behalf of the American public,” the Committee emphasized.

Anthony Bernal, often referred to as Jill Biden’s ‘work husband,’ has been portrayed as a figure of considerable influence wielding significant power within the Biden administration.

Last month, Project Veritas released undercover footage featuring DNC Vice Chair David Hogg, who candidly acknowledged Bernal’s pivotal role in the Biden White House. When questioned about the level of corruption within the DNC, Hogg stated, “The larger issue was the inner circle surrounding Biden… Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff [Anthony Bernal] had an enormous amount of power.”
