ABC Renews Three Scripted Series for 2026-2027 Season

ABC has officially announced the renewal of three popular scripted series for the upcoming 2026-2027 broadcast season. Fans can look forward to the return of “High Potential,” “9-1-1,” and “9-1-1: Nashville” with new seasons filled with drama, action, and suspense.

“High Potential” has been renewed for its highly anticipated third season. The series follows the story of a single mom, portrayed by Kaitlin Olson, who possesses an exceptional mind and a unique talent for solving crimes. Teaming up with a seasoned detective, played by Daniel Sunjata, the duo forms an unstoppable partnership in solving complex cases. Created by Drew Godard, the show promises to deliver thrilling and unconventional crime-solving adventures. Executive producers include Sarah Esberg, Todd Harthan, Marc Halsey, and Olson herself.

“9-1-1” will be returning for its milestone tenth season. Created by the talented team of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and showrunner Tim Minear, the series explores the intense and high-pressure experiences of first responders including police officers, firefighters, and dispatchers. The show delves into the challenges faced by these everyday heroes as they navigate through heart-stopping situations while balancing their personal lives. With a stellar cast including Angela Bassett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Oliver Stark, “9-1-1” promises to continue delivering gripping and emotional storylines. The show is executive produced by a team that includes Murphy, Falchuk, Minear, and several cast members.

Joining the lineup is “9-1-1: Nashville,” the newest addition to the “9-1-1” franchise. Set in one of America’s most dynamic cities, the series follows first responders as they navigate through both their professional duties and a family saga filled with power and glamour. With a talented cast led by Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw, the show promises to deliver a unique blend of action and drama. Executive producers include Murphy, Falchuk, Minear, and the show’s creator Rashad Raisani.
