Honor recently unveiled its highly anticipated “Robot phone” with a movable camera arm, sparking excitement among tech enthusiasts. The Chinese company shared more details about the innovative device ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, revealing its unique capabilities and features. The robot phone is designed to respond to various situations without the need for specific commands, adding a new level of convenience and functionality for users. Honor plans to launch this groundbreaking device in the second half of the year.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the robot phone is its “personality,” which allows it to interact with users in a fun and engaging way. The device can respond with head shakes, dance to music beats, and even offer apparel suggestions based on user input. Through both text and voice commands, users can communicate with the assistant on the phone, creating a dynamic and intuitive user experience.

The standout feature of the phone is its 200-megapixel camera mounted on a moving robot three-axis gimbal with advanced stabilization technology. This innovative setup enables the camera to smoothly rotate and capture stunning videos and photos with impressive clarity and detail. Additionally, the phone offers a Super Steady mode for video recording and a Spinshot feature that allows the robot camera to rotate by 90 or 180 degrees, providing users with creative shooting options.

The robotic camera also enhances video calls by utilizing AI-powered object tracking for fluid and dynamic tracking of subjects. This technology is reminiscent of Apple’s Center Stage feature but with added functionality and precision. Honor developed its own micro motor to control the robotic camera’s movements, drawing inspiration from foldable phone designs to ensure durability and performance. The camera’s four-degree-of-freedom gimbal system is seamlessly integrated into the phone’s body, thanks to high-quality materials like the 2800 MPa tensile strength hinge from the Honor Magic V6.

In addition to the robot phone, Honor also introduced other exciting products at the event, including the Honor Magic V6 foldable with a massive 6,600 mAh battery, the Honor MagicPad 4 tablet, and the Honor MagicBook 14 laptop. These devices showcase the company’s commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology, solidifying its position as a leading player in the tech industry.

Overall, Honor’s robot phone represents a significant leap forward in smartphone technology, offering users a unique and immersive experience with its advanced features and capabilities. With its impressive camera system, interactive assistant, and sleek design, the device is sure to make a splash in the market upon its release later this year.
