Del Toro Films, a renowned production company in Argentina, recently announced their collaboration with Colombian horror thriller “I’ll Keep My Mouth Shut” (“No diré nada”) by director Óscar Adán. This exciting project was presented at the VS Fantastic! Lab by Cinematografiando from Colombia and marks Adán’s directorial feature debut. Co-written with María Adelaida Palacio Duque, the film follows the story of two women who form an unlikely alliance after a roadside kidnapping. The stellar Colombian cast includes Paula Castaño, Ángela Rodríguez, Juan Pablo Barragán, Nelson Camayo, and Gerardo Calero.
Produced by Diana Contento, Andrés Tous, and Mario Cubillos Peña of Cinematografiando, “I’ll Keep My Mouth Shut” benefits from Del Toro Films’ expertise in producing horror films. With a track record of successful genre films like “On the 3rd Day,” “Auxilio,” and “The Funeral Home,” Del Toro Films is a valuable partner for this project. The film is currently finalizing its financing and aims to start principal photography in the second quarter of 2026.
The co-production agreement between Cinematografiando and Del Toro Films was signed by Contento, Tous, Ruiz, and Sánchez Sotelo. Discussions are also ongoing with new partner Lucas Pelegrino from LPB Content in Brazil. “I’ll Keep My Mouth Shut” has garnered recognition at various film festivals, including the Special Jury Prize for Best Project at Feratum Pitch Hub in Mexico and Fantasolab in Colombia, where it received mentorship from VDF Connection.
The VS Fantastic! Lab at Ventana Sur featured a diverse selection of projects from Ibero-America and beyond, showcasing the talent and creativity of the region. Other standout entries included “La Huida,” “Peek a Boo,” and “Vautours,” each recognized for their unique storytelling and cinematic achievements. Ventana Sur, organized by INCAA, ACAU, and Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, brought together industry professionals and filmmakers in Buenos Aires from Dec. 1-5, fostering collaboration and promoting Latin American cinema on a global stage.
