Prime Video and Wonder Project have announced that the highly anticipated Season 2 of “House of David” will premiere on March 27. Fans of the biblical drama can look forward to streaming all episodes globally on the launch date.
The first season of the series was a massive success, attracting over 40 million viewers worldwide. The upcoming season promises to continue the gripping storyline against a backdrop of political turmoil and spiritual awakening. As Israel teeters on the brink of collapse during Saul’s faltering reign, David emerges from a humble shepherd to a formidable warrior. Caught between loyalty and destiny, David must navigate the transforming landscape of warfare in the Age of Iron. As families splinter, forbidden romances ignite, and alliances shift, the clash between faith and power will ultimately shape the future of Israel.
The stellar cast of “House of David” includes Michael Iskander as David, Ali Suliman as King Saul, Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, and Stephen Lang as Samuel. The ensemble also features talented actors such as Indy Lewis, Yali Topol Margalith, Ethan Kai, Sam Otto, Oded Fehr, Louis Ferreira, Davood Ghadami, Ashraf Barhom, and Alexander Uloom.
The series is a collaboration between Wonder Project’s Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn, who serve as executive producers alongside Jonathan Lloyd Walker, Justin Rosenblatt, Chad Oakes, Michael Frislev, Trey Callaway, and Mark McNair. Rosenblatt, in particular, played a crucial role as the executive in charge of production for Wonder Project. Dallas Jenkins, the mastermind behind “The Chosen,” is a shareholder and special advisor to the company. “House of David” is produced by Nomadic Pictures and Argonauts in partnership with Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios, as well as Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate Television.
