A Texas man, Bobby Singh Shah, was taken into custody on Thursday for allegedly killing Muna Pandey, a 21-year-old nursing student in Houston. Pandey was found dead in her apartment with multiple gunshot wounds, and Shah was identified through security footage from a camera she had installed outside her front door due to a previous stalking incident.
According to reports, Pandey’s friends mentioned that she lived alone and had not been seen since Saturday night. Surveillance footage showed Pandey with Shah outside her apartment, where he reportedly forced his way in with a gun. Shah was later seen leaving the apartment with Pandey’s belongings.
Authorities were alerted to Pandey’s body by an anonymous caller, and a still image of Shah from the security camera was released to the public. This led to tips from individuals who recognized Shah from a restaurant where Pandey had worked, as well as from a person who had encountered him on a dating website.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of personal safety measures, such as installing security cameras and being cautious of potential threats.
