Trump Declares War on UK’s Labour Party Over Climate Change
During his campaign for a second term, President Trump has consistently dismissed climate change as a “hoax” and “one of the great scams of all time”, despite the evidence of increasing sea temperatures and a rise in devastating natural disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires, droughts, and floods.
Despite these alarming trends, the 78-year-old president has pledged to cut funding for clean energy initiatives, roll back environmental protections, and eliminate incentives for purchasing electric vehicles. He has also expressed concerns about the dangers of windmills, labeling them as “insane”.
Trump has embraced the slogan “drill baby drill” as he promises to boost oil and gas production to unprecedented levels. However, experts have pointed out that the industry’s emissions are a significant contributor to global warming, making his stance on energy production contradictory to addressing climate change.
