It’s that time of year again – Halloween! And what better way to celebrate than with Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party? Klum, known for her extravagant and creative costumes, did not disappoint this year as she arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City dressed as the mythical Greek figure, Medusa.
Klum, who has been throwing her Halloween bash for 24 years now, always keeps fans guessing with her costume choices. From Jessica Rabbitt to a peacock to E.T., she never fails to impress with her attention to detail and dedication to embodying her chosen character. This year, she decided to take on the challenge of reimagining Medusa in a modern way.
“I wanted to explore the classic monsters of history, and reimagine one in a modern way,” Klum explained. “Medusa stood out to me as truly iconic—mysterious yet ferocious. The legend of her turning humans to stone has fascinated audiences for centuries. In museums, countless paintings and sculptures depict her haunting power, a testament to how terrifying and compelling she remains.”
The hand-painted costume took nine hours in the makeup chair to complete and featured extraordinary details, including moving mechanical snakes placed atop Klum’s head. “I love that all of the snakes move independently – they look so real,” Klum said. “I also have a custom split snake tongue that is just next level. I love a challenge, so I am always striving to outdo myself from the years before.”
As always, Klum’s Halloween costume did not disappoint, and she once again proved why she is the reigning queen of Halloween. With her creativity, attention to detail, and dedication to embodying her chosen character, Klum continues to set the bar high for Halloween costumes year after year. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next year!
