MomTok is setting aside any previous drama to cheer on Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck as they perform on Dancing With the Stars.
âThere are always fire emojis, disco balls, and comments like, âYes, queen, you totally nailed it,ââ Leavitt, 32, shared exclusively with Us Weekly on Tuesday, September 30, while reflecting on the positive response from MomTok to her performances. âTheir support is amazing.â
When queried about the level of support from her castmates on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Leavitt expressed her gratitude, confirming that every cast member has been cheering for her and her partner Mark Ballas.
âHonestly, they all are so supportive. I feel really lucky,â she said after showcasing her samba to âShake Ya Assâ by Mystikal. âTheyâre tagging us in their stories on TikTok, and commenting on our postsâevery single one of them. Itâs fantastic.â
Affleck, 26, echoed Leavittâs sentiments, noting that MomTokâs encouragement has been crucial as she adapts to learning numerous dance styles quickly.
After her cha-cha performance with partner Jan Ravnik, Affleck remarked that her co-stars have been âincredibly supportive.â
âEvery week, they’re sending supportive messages and sharing our performances, which we are so grateful for,â she commented to Us. âWe need all the votes we can get.â
When asked about her biggest supporter, Affleck jokingly stated, âI know who isnât my biggest cheerleader. But just kidding!â
With Season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives set to premiere on Hulu on November 13, Affleck and Leavitt remain focused on improving their performances for the Dancing With the Stars judges, which include Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli.
âIâm progressively getting there,â Affleck shared regarding her confidence. âIâm not trained in dance, so I do feel behind, but as long as Iâm making improvements, thatâs what matters.â
Ravnik, 30, added, âShe always exudes confidence. While on TikTok she practices trends with a camera, here sheâs learning structured techniques. Thereâs so much to handle, but sheâs thrived. Sheâs amazing.â
Though fans may wonder if itâs all work and no fun for the contestants, many find time for entertaining TikTok videos in between rehearsals.
For Leavitt and Ballas, 39, thereâs a strategic approach to curating content for their followers.
âWe map out our ideas. I maintain a Google Doc,â Leavitt mentioned. âI tell them to be ready and to come early for our TikTok shoot.â
Ballas added, âAt night, we FaceTime each other. Iâm like, âI found this audio, what do you think?â Itâs fun and light-hearted.â
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
