Recently, Google revealed that its Gemini AI assistant will soon be integrated into Nest smart home devices, including various speakers, displays, doorbells, and more. If you’re interested in experiencing it early, here’s how you can sign up.

The shift to Gemini is not unexpected, as it has been gradually replacing Google Assistant across a wide range of devices, including smartphones and smartwatches. The company announced that it intends for Gemini to be available on every smart device it has produced over the past ten years.

This rollout includes not only the devices previously mentioned but also cameras and the Google Home app. Furthermore, it will be embedded in the newly designed Google Home Speaker, which is set to launch in ‘Spring 2026’.

While there’s no exact launch date for Gemini in Home, you can already register for early access to secure your spot among the first users. This rollout will begin this month for select devices.

“We will make it available through an early access program so that you can explore all these new features and provide us with feedback which helps us refine the experience,” Google stated.

Follow these simple steps to sign up for early access:

  1. Launch the Google Home app, ensuring it is version 4.0 or higher.
  2. Select the Settings gear icon located at the bottom.
  3. Scroll down and choose Early access.
  4. Click Sign up.
  5. You will receive a notification when Gemini for Home becomes available.
