Samsung has recently begun rolling out the stable version of One UI 7, but the process has hit a roadblock. A bug discovered in the Korean version of the software has led to a global pause in the rollout, leaving users uncertain about when they can expect to receive the update on their compatible devices.
While the official rollout started on 7 April, it was quickly halted due to a serious bug found in the Korean version. This bug has caused the suspension of the update in all other countries as well. As a result, One UI 7 is no longer listed as the latest version on Samsung’s servers for many eligible devices. It is unclear how long it will take to resolve the bug and resume the rollout, so users may have to wait longer than expected to receive the update.
For those keen on getting their hands on One UI 7, there is still an option to download the beta version. The beta programme initially began with the Galaxy S24 series and has since expanded to include devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, A55, and Tab S10 series. Users can sign up for the beta programme through the Samsung Members app, provided they own an eligible device and live in a supported region.
To sign up for the beta programme, users need to follow a few simple steps. First, open the Samsung Members app on their device and look for the One UI 7 Beta Programme banner. Once found, they can enroll in the beta programme by tapping on the ‘Enroll’ button. After successful registration, users can install the beta firmware by navigating to ‘Settings’ > ‘Software update’ > ‘Download and install’.
While waiting for the stable release of One UI 7, users can keep an eye out for updates in their region and for their specific device. Once the stable version is available, users can easily download and install it through the settings menu on their Samsung Galaxy device. In the meantime, those eager to experience the latest features and improvements can opt for the beta version of One UI 7.
