Howling Hill Camp in Crimson Desert serves as the primary camp for the Greymanes, situated to the south of Hernand City atop a cliff. Upon unlocking it after completing Chapter 3 and exploring its surroundings, players will encounter two Mysterious Energy Zones. Solving these puzzles is crucial as they unlock two fast travel points.
This article provides a guide to solving the two Mysterious Energy Zone puzzles near the Howling Hill Camp in Crimson Desert.
Crimson Desert: Howling Hill Camp Mysterious Energy Zone 1 Puzzle Solution
Mysterious Energy Zone 1 Prerequisites
The first Mysterious Energy Zone puzzle near Howling Hill Camp is located next to Kliff’s house. It features a stone platform that acts as an Abyss Nexus point missing an Abyss Teleporter disk. To solve this puzzle, you must find and attach the Abyss Teleporter disk to the Nexus.
Before searching for the disk, it’s advisable to complete the following in-game quests:
- Sealed in Stone: This side quest, part of the Estate in Dismay arc for House Roberts, is set at a quarry. It involves defeating Bleed Bandits and assisting workers at the site.
- Scholastone: A main quest in the Forbidden Knowledge arc of Chapter 4, rewarding players with the Focused Force Palm skill.
Once these requirements are fulfilled, you can begin your search for the Abyss Teleporter disk.
Where to Find the Abyss Teleporter Disk

To locate the Abyss Teleporter disk, head to Karin Quarry, the site of the Sealed in Stone quest. Proceed to the area where you previously removed a giant boulder to find a hole beneath it. Jump down to enter the underground area.

At the bottom, look to your left to find a purple crystallized wall. Use the Focused Force Palm skill to break through it, while avoiding the laser beam from the opposite side of the room.
Next, use your Axiom Force ability to collect the Abyss Teleporter disk and seal it inside your Kuku Pot.
How to Activate the Abyss Nexus Point
After obtaining the Abyss Teleporter disk, return to the Howling Hill Camp in Crimson Desert. There, you’ll find a Mysterious Energy Zone east of Kliff’s house, marked by a question mark icon.
Go to the location and stand in front of the stone platform, which is covered by vines. Then use your Blinding Flash ability to solve light reflection puzzles and focus the light on the vines to burn them. Press L1 + R1 or equivalent buttons to activate this ability, then use L1 or equivalent to focus the light.
Following this, open your Kuku Pot and discard the Abyss Teleporter disk to bring it out. Then use the Axiom Force ability to grab it and place it on the stone platform.
Next, jump over it and use the Aerial Force Palm ability to fix the disk. This will repair the Abyss Nexus point, enabling fast travel to Howling Hill Camp at any time.
Crimson Desert: Howling Hill Camp Mysterious Energy Zone 2 Puzzle Solution

The second Mysterious Energy Zone puzzle is located at the chasm south of the camp. Stand on top of the chasm and look north to spot a wall with a mural and a door. Glide down and enter the room.

Inside, you will find three circular stone tablets in a hole that need to be aligned correctly to unlock the Dragon Stone chamber door. Rotate them as shown in the image to solve the puzzle. This will allow you to activate the Abyss Cresset for fast travel and reward you with an Abyss Artifact for unlocking skills in Crimson Desert.
