Huawei has unveiled its latest flagship foldable phone, the Mate X7, as a successor to the impressive Mate X6. The new device promises improved durability and enhanced photography capabilities, making it a strong contender in the foldable phone market.
One of the standout features of the Huawei Mate X7 is its focus on photography. The phone boasts a 50Mp Ultra Lighting HDR Camera, which can capture twice the amount of light compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. In addition, it features a 10-stage adjustable physical aperture, along with a 40Mp ultra-wide and 50Mp telephoto macro camera. The battery capacity ranges from 5,300mAh to 5,600mAh, with support for 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of performance, the Huawei Mate X7 is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro processor, which is limited due to US sanctions. However, the device features a “SuperCool Ultra-Large VC & Graphene Heat Dissipation System” to ensure optimal performance. Availability of the Mate X7 may be limited, with a focus on European markets.
In addition to the Mate X7, Huawei has also introduced a range of other devices, including the Huawei FreeClip 2 earbuds, MatePad 11.5 S tablet, and WiFi Mesh X3 Pro router. The FreeClip 2 earbuds offer dual-driver, three-mic call noise cancellation and IP57 certification. The MatePad 11.5 S features a PaperMatte Display, M-Pencil Pro stylus, and magnetic keyboard. The WiFi Mesh X3 Pro router supports Wi-Fi 7 and offers dual-band peak speeds of 3.6 Gbps.
