Iga Swiatek made heads turn with her stunning all-black ensemble at the Christmas dinner gala held before the 2025 World Tennis Continental Cup in Shenzhen, China. The exhibition event features top players like Elena Rybakina, along with other ATP and WTA stars.
Decked in a see-through black top and matching trousers, Swiatek exuded elegance at the gala event. Paired with black stiletto pumps, the former World No. 1’s outfit was a fashion statement in itself.
The World Tennis Continental Cup, inspired by the Laver Cup, is set to kick off at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre. Swiatek will lead Team Europe, accompanied by Belinda Bencic, Flavio Cobolli, and Valentin Vacherot. Meanwhile, Team World will be spearheaded by Elena Rybakina, supported by Wang Xinyu, Andrey Rublev, and Zhang Zhizhen.
In a highly anticipated match on the first day of the event, Swiatek is scheduled to face off against Rybakina. While the exhibition match won’t affect rankings, Swiatek will be eager to put up a strong performance, especially after their recent encounter at the WTA Finals 2025 in Riyadh.
In their last meeting, Rybakina staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Swiatek after dropping the first set. Despite not having ranking implications, Swiatek will be looking to avenge her loss and showcase her skills against the Kazakh player.
The Polish star’s exit from the WTA Finals after two losses in the Round Robin phase was overshadowed by Rybakina’s title-winning run. The Kazakh went on to clinch the trophy by defeating Aryna Sabalenka in the final, adding more spice to their upcoming clash at the Continental Cup.
As the tennis world eagerly awaits this exciting showdown, Swiatek and Rybakina are set to renew their rivalry on the court, promising a thrilling spectacle for fans worldwide.
