A defiant James Comey took to video on Thursday evening, responding vigorously after the former FBI Director was indicted on two criminal charges.
The U.S Department of Justice officially charged Comey with making false statements and obstruction of justice.
In a somewhat commendable move, Comey did not lash out with threats of violence against President Trump following his indictment.
James Comey: “My family and I have been acutely aware of the consequences of opposing Donald Trump for years, yet we couldn’t envision living any other way.”
“We will not surrender to fear, and neither should you. A person I cherish deeply recently reminded me that fear is a tyrant’s tool, and she is absolutely right; I stand unafraid, and I hope you do too.”
“I fervently wish for you to be engaged and vigilant, and to vote with the consciousness that our cherished nation depends upon it—because it truly does.”
“While my heart aches for the Department of Justice, I maintain unwavering confidence in the federal judicial system. I am innocent. Let’s proceed to trial and uphold our faith.”

Steve Bannon made a chilling statement regarding Comey’s situation, asserting, “Comey won’t survive prison. This is essentially a death sentence.”
