During a recent episode of his show, comedian and impressionist Matt Friend took a playful jab at Fox News host Jesse Watters.
Friend started off the interview by teasing Watters about his mother’s disapproval, joking, “Millions of Americans welcome you into their homes every night – if only your mother would do the same.”
Watters’ mother, Anne Watters, a Democrat, has been vocal about her criticism of her son in the past, particularly his “sweeping statements” and lack of appreciation for diversity. She even called in to warn him about falling into conspiracy theories when he took over Tucker Carlson’s time slot.
Friend didn’t hold back during the interview, even impersonating Trump and teasing Watters about his facial expressions.
Watters fired back with a question about being punched in the face, to which Friend cleverly responded, “That’s more of a question for you, I would say.”
Despite the banter, Friend emphasized that his goal with his impressions is simply to bring laughter to his audience.
He also joked about the lack of Democratic figures to impersonate, before diving into impressions of Bernie Sanders and Tim Walz.
