Since the arrival of their daughter Grace, both actors have openly discussed the challenges of managing careers in blockbuster films and stage performances while also parenting.
Weisz has outlined their approach, where they take turns with professional responsibilities to ensure one parent is always present at home. She said, “I think we really love our private life as a life, as a family, and then we go to work separately. We really enjoyed that experience. It also means we can alternate. I can stay home with the family while he works. We can swap out. If we’re both doing something at the same time, it’s probably less ideal.”
Craig has shared similar views, emphasizing that having a young child has made him more hesitant to be away from home for extended periods. Despite this, their professional paths continue to cross at significant cultural events.
The couple has graced red carpets together, from the Madrid premiere of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in 2012 to the 2022 BFI London Film Festival, where they supported Craig’s film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
During the 2024 Venice Film Festival, where Craig debuted Queer, the focus was as much on the couple’s joint appearance as on the film, with Weisz donning a sparkling Versace gown. Behind the scenes, Weisz has expressed that they maintain a keen interest in each other’s work.
In 2018, she remarked, “We talk about films that we love, or plays. We love to go to see theatre and discuss things that we’ve seen. We respect each other. We appreciate each other’s work.”
As Vladimir propels Weisz back into the cultural spotlight, this mutual respect appears to be the foundation of a marriage that has flourished, away from the typical Hollywood scrutiny.
