Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski Expose Bombshells in The Wall Street Journal Report
Since taking charge, Governor Kristi Noem and political operative Corey Lewandowski have allegedly made significant changes to leadership within their administration, resulting in the firing or demotion of approximately 80 percent of senior career officials.
One notable incident involved Governor Noem needing to switch planes due to a maintenance issue, which resulted in her blanket not being transferred to the second plane. In a surprising turn of events, she reportedly attempted to fire the Coast Guard pilot responsible for the oversight. However, the pilot was later reinstated when it became apparent that there was no alternative pilot available to fly them home.
Another controversial situation arose when Corey Lewandowski pushed to be issued a law-enforcement badge and a federally issued gun, despite lacking the necessary training and qualifications for such privileges.
According to The Wall Street Journal report, the administration was in the process of hiring Tom Feeley, a former top ICE official, as its new director. However, Lewandowski allegedly approached Feeley with a request for badges and guns to be issued to him and several other political officials. Feeley declined the request, and as a result, was overlooked for the top position at ICE.
Lewandowski then sought assistance from ICE’s legal office to justify his request for the badge and gun. When a top ICE lawyer, Ken Padilla, refused to approve the request, he was placed on administrative leave, demoted, and transferred to FEMA. Despite initial setbacks, Lewandowski eventually convinced other lawyers to approve the request, and the ICE director’s autopen was used to sign off on the paperwork.
These revelations highlight the controversial and questionable actions taken by Governor Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski, as detailed in The Wall Street Journal report. The fallout from these incidents raises concerns about ethical standards and decision-making within the administration.
