Since assuming the role of NFL commissioner in 2006, Roger Goodell has overseen numerous changes within the league, from advancements in gameplay and technology to improvements in player health and diversity.
As the FIFA World Cup unfolds in North America, NFL insider Bucky Brooks has proposed that Goodell introduce an emotionally charged mechanism akin to penalty shootouts for deciding NFL games that go into overtime.

“Watching these World Cup games come down to PKs creates all kinds of anxiety and exhilaration. I donât know what the American Football equivalent would be, but the NFL should find a way to create an OT ending that produces the same kind of emotional reaction,” Goodell tweeted.

Roger Goodell Attends Travis Kelce’s Wedding to Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden
Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, celebrated his marriage to pop sensation Taylor Swift at a lavish wedding held at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday. Reports indicate that approximately 1,000 guests, including Roger Goodell, were present at the event.
In addition to Goodell, the star-studded guest list featured notable figures such as Jennifer Lopez, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Tom Cruise, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Reese Witherspoon, Paul McCartney, the Haim sisters, and Stevie Nicks.
Kelce and Swift are said to have started their relationship in the summer of 2023 and announced their engagement in August.
