Donald Trump finds himself in choppy waters regarding the Iran conflict, and despite his repeated assertions of success, his rhetoric reveals a starkly different narrative.

Before embarking on a recent trip, Trump faced reporters’ questions regarding the Iran war, specifically about the U.S. bombing of an Iranian school that resulted in numerous child casualties, and how he could still label the war a success while the Iranian regime remains intact.

Upon arriving in Kentucky, Trump appeared eager to launch into his familiar rants, perhaps trying to reassure both himself and his supporters that surging gas prices and the loss of American lives are not indicators of failure. Instead, he pivoted to blaming Joe Biden.

Trump stated:

Give it to a foreign country, that’s your enemy. How stupid was that? But that deal, the Iran nuclear deal gave them the right to have a nuclear weapon as of three years ago. If that deal, if I didn’t terminate that deal, I terminated it very quickly. If I didn’t terminate that deal. They would’ve had nuclear weapons and this world would right now be a different place.

Much different place, believe me.

And then Biden, he came along. He had no clue. He didn’t know what the hell he was doing, but they, uh, they really, they, what they did was incredible. They, everything they did was wrong.

However, Trump’s assertions regarding the Iran nuclear deal are at odds with reality. Contrary to his claims, the agreement was designed to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions, not facilitate them. It was Trump’s decision to withdraw from this deal that has contributed to the current conflict.

As the president continued his address, his comments wandered further into a realm of fiction regarding Biden’s actions and decisions.
