Marvel Studios is bringing back a familiar face for their upcoming Vision series. Faran Tahir, known for his role as Raza in the 2008 film “Iron Man,” will be reprising his character in the new show. This marks a significant return to the source material for the studio, as Tahir’s character played a crucial role in the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Paul Bettany will also be returning as Vision, the synthezoid character he first portrayed in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Joining him will be James Spader, who will reprise his role as the villainous AI from the same film. Todd Stashwick, known for his work on “Star Trek: Picard,” will be taking on an unspecified role in the series.
The decision to bring back Tahir’s character after almost two decades is a bold move by Marvel. Raza, best known for his role in kidnapping Tony Stark in “Iron Man,” was thought to have been killed in the film. However, as we’ve seen in the MCU, death is not always permanent. Just like Vision was brought back to life in “WandaVision,” it seems that Raza will be making a surprising return.
The Vision series, set to debut in 2026, will be helmed by Terry Matalas, known for his work on “Star Trek: Picard” and “12 Monkeys.” Tahir, who also appeared in “Star Trek” as the captain of the U.S.S. Kelvin, brings a wealth of experience to the role. His past credits include roles in “Elysium,” “Escape Plan,” and TV series like “The Old Man” and “Scandal.”
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will surely be excited to see Tahir back in action as Raza in the Vision series. With a talented cast and creative team behind the project, the show promises to deliver an exciting and thrilling new chapter in the MCU. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated series.
