Paradise has unveiled a potential time travel element as Link might be revealed as Sinatra’s presumed-deceased son, Danny. In the episode that aired on Monday, March 23, viewers saw Sinatra, portrayed by Julianne Nicholson, meet with Link, played by Thomas Doherty. During their encounter, she inadvertently learned his real name, Danny, and discovered their matching birthdays, increasing her suspicion that her son might still be alive.
Julianne Nicholson shared insights with TV Insider, saying, “This season delves deeper into the concept that the world is far more expansive than our daily perception, exploring quantum physics and simultaneous timelines, with people entering our lives at various points.”
The series Paradise, which debuted in January 2025, initially seemed to be set in a tranquil and affluent community grappling with a startling murder. However, Dan Fogelman‘s political thriller took an unexpected turn, revealing that Paradise is actually an underground bunker for the world’s elite, a refuge following a cataclysmic event that wiped out the rest of humanity.
The cast previously discussed with Us how they maintained secrecy about the show’s twists before its premiere. “The most challenging aspect of keeping the twist under wraps occurs now as we discuss it with others,” Nicholson revealed. “On set, everyone is in the know, reducing the need for secrecy.”
Nicholson further explained, “The challenge now is to capture people’s interest and convince them of the show’s uniqueness without divulging any details. We’re eager for audiences to join us on this journey.”
As the show returns, Sarah Shahi assured fans that they can expect more thrilling surprises. “The show is a roller-coaster ride. [Creator Dan Fogelman] excels in leading the audience and then unexpectedly pulling the rug out from under them,” she shared with Us in January. “Just when you think you have it figured out, something unforeseen happens, leaving you stunned.”
Alongside Brown, Nicholson, and Shahi, the series also features Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, Jon Beavers, Krys Marshall, Gerald McRaney, and Enuka Okuma.
Brown, 49, who also serves as an executive producer, recently reflected on the challenge of keeping so much about the show under wraps. “I enjoy knowing the direction of my projects. However, this is a question unique to TV. In films or plays, you know the beginning, middle, and end,” he remarked to Us earlier this month. “Not knowing allows me to shape the arc of the story, so I don’t mind being in the know.”
New episodes of Paradise are available on Hulu every Monday.
