Rapper Franky Venegas Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges in Florida
Franky Venegas, one half of the viral sensation “Island Boys” duo, found himself in hot water after a traffic stop in Florida led to his arrest on gun and drug charges. The 23-year-old rapper, known for his unique appearance and hit song “I’m an Island Boy,” was taken into custody by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
During the traffic stop, Venegas was found in possession of a stash of prescription pills and an unregistered handgun. The police report revealed that white pills, later identified as oxycodone, were discovered under the passenger seat where Venegas was sitting. He initially denied ownership of the pills but later claimed to have a prescription, which he could not provide evidence for.
Additionally, a designer handbag in the car contained a Glock handgun that had been altered and had its serial numbers removed. As a result, Venegas was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of an altered firearm.

Despite his legal troubles, Venegas was able to post bail and is set to appear in court on March 17. This is not his first run-in with the law, as he was previously arrested for reckless driving in 2024 and faced charges for domestic violence in 2023, which were later dropped.
It remains to be seen how this latest arrest will impact Venegas’ music career and online presence as one half of the infamous “Island Boys” duo.
