Bulgari Unveils Polychroma Collection Featuring Priyanka Chopra’s 241.06 Carat Emerald
At the grand unveiling of Bulgari’s Polychroma collection in Sicily, actress Priyanka Chopra dazzled in a stunning 241.06 carat emerald at the 2025 Met Gala. The collection, consisting of 250 pieces, includes 60 exclusive “millionaire pieces” – high jewelry and watches retailing for over a million euros. Renowned designer Mary Katranzou contributed high jewelry bags to the collection, with one white clutch featuring a Roman Coin Monete set in gold and diamonds selling out by cocktail hour. Additionally, three one-of-a-kind fragrances housed in Murano glass, diamond, and fine gemstone bottles were also part of the opulent collection.
Bulgari, known for its colorful jewelry, utilized 56 different gemstones in the Polychroma collection, blending new designs with traditional house codes. Five exceptional pieces of remarkable size were featured, following the success of last year’s 40 million euro seven-diamond necklace. The collection catered to the brand’s top clients, with sales commencing early on and one of the extra-large necklaces, aptly named “the splash necklace,” already finding a new home.
Creative Director Lucia Silvestri focused on creating pieces that are not only luxurious but also wearable and comfortable. She introduced transformable jewelry, allowing pieces to be worn in various ways for versatility. For example, a necklace with pear-shaped morganite pendants can transform into statement earrings and a simpler necklace.
The launch event in Taormina was a two-part affair, beginning with a showroom presentation at the San Domenico Palace, also known as the White Lotus of Sicily. The evening continued with a lavish dinner at the Grand Timeo hotel and a performance at the Greco Roman amphitheater, showcasing the brand’s commitment to cultural preservation. Bulgari collaborated with local Sicilian authorities and the Italian government to secure the historic venue and contributed to the restoration of two other cultural sites in Sicily.
