Teachers are truly incredible individuals who work tirelessly to educate and inspire the next generation. As we reflect on the past year, filled with challenges and triumphs, it’s clear that educators have shown immense resilience and dedication.
One of the highlights from the past year was the outpouring of gratitude and accomplishments shared by teachers in the We Are Teachers Helpline group on Facebook. From switching grade levels after years of teaching the same grade to building strong relationships with students, teachers found joy and fulfillment in their work.
Teachers also worked hard to support their students and saw some incredible wins along the way. Whether it was receiving positive feedback from children on past activities or successfully managing a student’s use of A.I., educators were able to make a real impact on their students’ lives.
Persistence was another key trait displayed by teachers throughout the year. From maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA in a PhD program while teaching full-time and raising children to retiring and opening a microschool, educators showed unwavering determination and dedication to their craft.
Some teachers wrapped up one chapter of their career and moved on to the next. Whether it was retiring and starting a new venture like opening a microschool or leaving a toxic school environment to find happiness in a new district, educators made bold decisions to prioritize their well-being and professional growth.
Sharing knowledge and expertise with others was also a highlight of the past year for teachers. From presenting at national education conferences to receiving overwhelming interest in their sessions, educators demonstrated their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
