However, the company refrained from committing to a definite date for resumption of operations, stating, “This decision has been made to provide clarity for the upcoming week as we establish a timeline for gradually restarting our operations and continue to conduct our investigation.”

Francis Robertson-Marriott, a spokesperson for the luxury automotive giant, which is a subsidiary of India’s Tata Motors, declined to provide further details when approached by TechCrunch regarding any timelines associated with the resumption of production.

The ongoing closure has now lasted for three weeks, and the extended shutdown is raising alarms among suppliers. Reports indicate that some suppliers are already facing the prospect of bankruptcy due to the disruptions caused by the prolonged cessation of production.
