James Carville went on a fiery tirade against President Donald Trump, expressing his intense dislike for the former president. He addressed the notion of “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a term often used by Trump supporters to mock critics of the president.
“You’re right! I got Trump Derangement Syndrome — I hate the motherfucker,” said Carville in a video for Politicon. “And you know what? I don’t want to get rid of it. I don’t want to get better, I want to get worse. I want to hate him more. I pray to God in heaven.
He continued, “God rain the righteous rain of Trump Derangement Syndrome on me. Pray for me, Lord. I’m your vessel on this earth. Pray for the people that listen to this. We want more. We want to hate the son of a bitch so much that we can’t see straight.”
Carville, a veteran Democratic strategist, emphasized his disdain for Trump, criticizing other pundits for being too lenient in their coverage. He mocked the idea of fairness in evaluating Trump’s actions and policies.
“And look, you fat fuck Trump, if you listen to this, you listen good, because what I’m getting ready to say is what a lot of people in this country [feel] who I speak for — and I speak for a lot of fucking people. You hear me, you fat asshole?”
Carville has been a vocal opponent of Trump for years, warning of the dangers posed by his presidency. He expressed concern about the possibility of Trump winning a second term in the 2024 election.

Carville criticized Trump’s actions, particularly his appointments of incompetent individuals to key positions. He lambasted figures like Attorney General Pam Bondi and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, using colorful language to express his displeasure.
“Pray for all of us, Lord,” said Carville. “Pray for James. Pray for James’ friends.”
He added, “Pray for people who are paying more for gas for some idiotic fucking war that he never even told us why we’re there. He still doesn’t know why the fuck we’re there. I guess we’re there to bomb girls schools because that’s going to make them like us more.”
