The star’s rep recently clarified that the Van Der Beek family has officially purchased their ranch in Spicewood, Texas, after friends offered to help with down payments, turning their rental agreement into a mortgage.

In 2020, James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly made the decision to relocate their family from Los Angeles to Spicewood, Texas. The move was influenced by their children, with James sharing in a 2021 interview that he wanted them to be closer to nature.

“We wanted to give the children space, and we wanted them to live in nature,” he said at the time.

The Van Der Beek family consists of daughters Olivia (15), Annabel (12), Emilia (9), and Gwendolyn (7), as well as sons Joshua (13) and Jeremiah (4).

The family’s new ranch in Texas will provide the children with the space and connection to nature that James and Kimberly desired for them. It’s a new chapter for the Van Der Beek family as they settle into their new home and continue to create lasting memories together.
