Jared Goff, the Detroit Lions quarterback, just became a proud father, and his support squad has taken on a delightful new face—his almost three-month-old daughter, Romy.
In a recent TikTok video shared on Sunday, September 28, Goff’s wife, Christen Harper Goff, revealed her game day ensemble from her home closet. “Outfit of the game: I’m sporting this adorable cropped jersey paired with Adidas Sambas and Abercrombie jeans,” she cheerfully noted. “With some hoops and my most charming accessory,” she added, as she stepped off-camera and returned holding Romy.
“Look at her game day attire!” Christen exclaimed, showcasing Romy in her own jersey, adorned with “Daddy” on the back instead of Jared’s surname. “And of course, football socks! We’re all set for the festivities, right?”
“We’re going all in for football!” Christen affirmed.
As of the latest updates, Jared, 30, and his Lions were engaged in a home game against the Cleveland Browns, boasting a 20-10 lead.
Romy’s birth was a significant milestone for Christen and Jared, marking their first child together in July.
The couple shared heartwarming hospital photos on Instagram, captioning one simply with “Romy ❤️.” In fact, Christen had previously expressed her anticipation of attending games with Romy in tow, excited about having the perfect distraction during tense moments.
“Having my little buddy along will be such a welcome distraction during those stress-inducing game quarters,” Christen remarked during a May segment on the “Sunday Sports Club” podcast. She humorously conveyed her wish for a full lion costume for Romy, reflecting her intentions to hold her up like the iconic scene from The Lion King during game days.
Despite Romy lacking her lion outfit—possibly still in the mail—what she wore on that game day clearly matched her stylish mother’s vibe. “I’ve been having a blast hunting for vintage finds,” Christen shared with Us Weekly in an October 2024 interview. “Getting my hands on some vintage Lions gear has been incredibly enjoyable over the years. I love remixing those pieces, giving them new life by altering or re-styling them.”
Jared and Christen have been navigating this exciting chapter of their lives together since 2019, having met on the dating app Raya. Their journey culminated in tying the knot in June 2024. Throughout it all, Christen has been a steadfast presence in the Lions’ stadium stands, first supporting Jared during his time with the Los Angeles Rams and following him to Detroit after 2021’s trade.
As Christen candidly shared, bonding with the other significant others in the Lions community has been pivotal. “Some of us hail from Detroit, but many of us are newcomers to this city. We all started fresh when Jared joined the team, getting acquainted with the city together,” she admitted. This sense of camaraderie during life’s peaks and valleys has solidified friendships among them, providing mutual support during challenging times and celebrating the joyous ones together.
