Vice President JD Vance raised concerns on Thursday regarding the impact of a surge in illegal immigration on housing prices, making homeownership unattainable for many Americans due to the lack of new home construction.

Vance, during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, pointed out that the influx of 30 million illegal immigrants has contributed to the soaring housing prices, preventing American citizens from accessing homes that should rightfully be theirs. At the same time, there is a shortage of new housing construction in the country.

Vice President JD Vance told Fox News host Sean Hannity that illegal immigration on the rise has led to house prices rapidly rising affecting the American Dream for many citizens. Christopher Sadowski

During the Biden administration, the US experienced a significant influx of immigrants, with an average of 2.4 million immigrants per year entering the country, of which about 60% crossed the border illegally, as per a Goldman Sachs analysis.
