Jennifer Lopez Steals the Show at the 2025 American Music Awards

After overcoming a recent facial injury, Jennifer Lopez wowed the audience with a sizzling performance at the 2025 American Music Awards. The 55-year-old host took to the stage at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and delivered a mesmerizing dance routine to a medley of popular songs, including hits by Billie Eilish, Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga. Lopez, clad in a sparkly one-piece outfit, even engaged in a steamy moment with some of her dancers before wrapping up the opening number with a captivating performance to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Just a few weeks prior, Lopez had shared on Instagram Stories that she had sustained a facial injury while rehearsing for the AMAs. Despite the setback, she powered through and delivered a show-stopping performance on the big night. In a follow-up post, she thanked Dr. Jason Diamond, a renowned facial plastic surgeon, for his expertise in treating her injury and helping her recover.

Lopez’s return as the host of the 2025 AMAs marked her second time leading the prestigious awards show, with her first stint being in 2015. Dick Clark Productions CEO Jay Penske expressed excitement over having Lopez back as the host, praising her exceptional talent and stage presence. Throughout her illustrious career, Lopez has graced the AMA stage more than 10 times, showcasing her unparalleled artistry and captivating performances.

Reflecting on her past experiences at the AMAs, Lopez shared her gratitude for the fan-voted awards, emphasizing the special connection between artists and their supporters. Winning an AMA is a significant achievement for Lopez, as it represents the direct appreciation and recognition from her dedicated fan base.

Aside from her stellar hosting duties, Lopez’s personal life has also been in the spotlight, particularly her recent divorce from Ben Affleck. The former couple, who tied the knot in 2022, finalized their divorce earlier this year, marking the end of a chapter in Lopez’s personal life.

As Lopez continues to shine in her career and make a lasting impact on the music industry, her recent performance at the 2025 AMAs solidifies her status as a powerhouse entertainer and a beloved figure in the world of music and entertainment.
