Jennifer Lopez’s Career Struggles Continue as Movie Bombs, Affleck and Damon Move On

After a series of disappointing box office performances, 56-year-old Jennifer Lopez is reportedly feeling “deeply depressed” about the state of her career. The latest blow comes from the underwhelming ticket sales of her recent film, Kiss, which has left both Lopez and her former collaborators, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, reevaluating their future plans.

Sources close to the situation claim that while Lopez’s camp may see Kiss as a success, the financial numbers tell a different story. This setback has put a dent in the reputation of Affleck, Damon, and their Artists Equity studio, who had high hopes for the project when it was first conceived.

“Kiss was a passion project for Jennifer and Ben when they were still together, envisioning a bright future of collaboration through Ben’s new production company,” an insider revealed. “Matt was fully on board with their vision and the trio invested heavily in getting the movie off the ground.”

The source also highlighted the pattern of vanity projects that Affleck and Damon tend to gravitate towards, drawing parallels to their early successes like Dogma and Good Will Hunting. However, the underperformance of Kiss has raised questions about the sustainability of their approach in today’s competitive film industry.

“It’s time for them to face reality and focus on creating content that resonates with audiences and drives ticket sales for their studio,” the insider added.

As Lopez grapples with the aftermath of Kiss‘s disappointing reception, Affleck and Damon are said to be shifting their attention towards new projects and distancing themselves from the fading star. Despite Lopez’s enduring dreams of awards recognition, it seems that the trio’s once-promising collaboration may be coming to an end.
