Jimmy Kimmel lambasted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for yet another scandal involving the sharing of highly sensitive information through the Signal messaging app.
Hegseth claimed that the messages were for “media coordination” and that he had made that clear “from the beginning.”
“Right,” Kimmel sarcastically agreed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” “But it was nonsense from the beginning, too!”
Kimmel also dismissed Hegseth’s excuse of blaming leakers and the media.
“You texted the exact time and place the secret bombing would commence before it happened to your wife on a vulnerable phone. And his justification for this is, ‘Who told you and how dare they tell you?'” Kimmel remarked. “This is akin to being caught cheating and responding with ‘Why did you come back so soon?'”
Despite Hegseth’s continuous blame on leakers, he is the one responsible for sharing sensitive information outside secure official channels.
Kimmel aired a compilation of Hegseth repeatedly mentioning “leakers,” culminating in him saying, “I don’t have time for leakers.”
“You don’t have time for leakers?” Kimmel reiterated incredulously. “You are the leaker!”
Kimmel then made a humorous jab about adult diapers.
“You’re the one who leaked this,” he stated. “You leaked so much you should be wearing Depends to work.”
