The cost of gas has been on the rise ever since Trump joined forces with Israel in a conflict against Iran. Despite this, the president seemed unconcerned during a statement on Thursday.
“The United States is the leading Oil Producer globally, so when oil prices increase, we stand to profit greatly,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Kimmel highlighted the fact that most Americans do not benefit financially from the increase in oil prices – they simply end up paying more at the gas pump.
“The individual who promised to bring gas prices below $2 per gallon during his campaign is now attempting to convince us that higher prices are advantageous,” Kimmel remarked. “You frequently hear the term ‘gaslighting,’ but seldom in relation to actual gasoline.”
In his message, Trump also mentioned that his primary concern was to prevent Iran, the “Evil Empire,” from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Kimmel couldn’t resist poking fun at the typo.
“That’s correct. He’s ‘stoping’ the evil empire,” he quipped. “He truly is the most ‘stopidest’ president in history.”
