Hollywood Joins “No Kings” Protests Against Trump Administration

Over the weekend, cities across America saw a wave of protests against the Trump administration, with a specific focus on opposing the aggressive deportation raids. Dubbed the “No Kings” protests, the movement coincided with President Donald Trump’s controversial military parade in Washington, scheduled to commemorate the Army’s 250th anniversary on Trump’s birthday.

Not only did thousands of U.S. citizens participate in the demonstrations, but industry leaders also took a stand. Jimmy Kimmel was spotted at the “No Kings” rally in the South Bay Area of Northern California, where he shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about the importance of standing up for friends and neighbors.

Actress Kerry Washington also showed her support for the movement on social media, posting pictures of herself marching alongside other activists with a caption that emphasized the fight for democracy.

Meanwhile, eight-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close joined the protests in Bozeman, Mont., expressing her outrage over recent killings and emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and democracy in the face of adversity.

Other celebrities, including Natasha Rothwell, Ayo Edebiri, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis, also participated in the “No Kings” protests, sharing messages of solidarity and bravery on social media.

The presence of Hollywood stars at these demonstrations highlights the industry’s commitment to using their platform to advocate for social justice and political change. As the “No Kings” movement gains momentum, it is clear that Hollywood is not only joining the fight but also leading the charge in standing up against injustice and oppression.
