Jimmy Kimmel has come up with an offer that he believes President Donald Trump will have a hard time turning down.
In a playful jab at Venezuelan opposition leader MarÃa Corina Machado’s recent White House visit where she presented Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize, Kimmel suggested a way to outdo her gesture.
During his monologue on Thursday, Kimmel proposed, “If and only if you agree to pull ICE out of Minneapolis and return them to the borders where they belong, I am prepared to offer you one of the following trophies that I have been honored with over the years.” As his sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez wheeled out a cart full of trophies, Kimmel presented options such as his Daytime Emmy for best game show host, his Clio Award for advertising, his Webby Award for internet excellence, his Writers Guild Award, and even his 2015 Soul Train Award for White Person of the Year.
Kimmel humorously offered to personally deliver any or all of these trophies to the Oval Office in exchange for leaving the people of Minneapolis alone.
The late-night host also addressed ICE’s increased presence in Minneapolis and Trump’s comments about potentially invoking the Insurrection Act. Kimmel quipped, “The Insurrection Act would allow President Trump to send troops to Minneapolis to stop the civil unrest that started when President Trump sent ICE into Minneapolis to start the civil unrest.”
Kimmel, known for his outspoken criticism of Trump, has been particularly vocal since his show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” was temporarily taken off the air in the fall of 2025 following controversial comments about the killing of Charlie Kirk. The incident sparked national discussions about censorship under the Trump administration.
Incorporating elements from Kimmel’s monologue, the rewritten content seamlessly integrates into a WordPress platform, providing a fresh take on the comedian’s satirical commentary on current events.
