Jimmy Kimmel to Receive President’s Award from International Cinematographers Guild

Jimmy Kimmel, the beloved late-night host, is set to be honored with the prestigious President’s Award from the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG), IATSE Local 600. The award ceremony will take place on March 13 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The President’s Award is a rare honor presented by the ICG only under extraordinary circumstances. In a statement, the ICG publicists expressed their admiration for Kimmel’s strength of character, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his principles in the face of adversity.

John Lindley, ASC, the national president of the ICG, shared his excitement about presenting the award to Jimmy Kimmel. Jimmy Kimmel is best known as the host and executive producer of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Earlier this year, Kimmel faced a brief suspension from ABC following remarks made in a monologue that drew the attention of the Federal Communications Commission.

Notable past recipients of the ICG President’s Award include Nanci Ryder, a legendary publicist and ALS activist; Cheryl Boone Isaac, a PR executive who later served as the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS); and Linda Bell Blue, an executive producer recognized for her outstanding work on “Entertainment Tonight” over two decades.
