Joanna Gaines Takes on Solo Project with New Series “Mini Reni”
Chip Gaines may have some time to spare for demolition projects as Joanna Gaines is stepping into the spotlight with her latest solo series, “Mini Reni,” on the Magnolia Network.
Described as a departure from her usual large-scale renovations, “Mini Reni” will see Joanna tackling smaller projects with quick turnaround times. Each episode will showcase her creative additions to transform compact spaces with significant impact.
Speaking about the show, Joanna Gaines shared with Variety, “‘Mini Reni’ gives me the freedom to focus on one or two smaller spaces. Instead of overwhelming viewers with the complexities of a full home renovation, the show aims to inspire them to design their homes gradually and thoughtfully, paying attention to the small details that truly reflect their story.”
“Mini Reni” is set to premiere on May 14 on the Magnolia Network’s streaming platform, Max, as well as on the Magnolia app. The show, a joint venture with Warner Bros. Discovery, will consist of nine episodes released weekly on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET until July 9.
Produced by Chip and Joanna Gaines through their media company Blind Nil, “Mini Reni” is positioned as a blend of inspiration and approachability. Magnolia Network president Allison Page expressed her excitement for the series, stating, “Joanna has a unique talent for making design relatable and engaging, and ‘Mini Reni’ showcases this in a fresh format that celebrates creativity.”
Executive vice president of Blind Nil, Jarrett Lambo, emphasized the authenticity of the show, highlighting Joanna’s creative vision and design process. With a focus on meaningful spaces and the dynamics of everyday living, “Mini Reni” aims to captivate viewers with its genuine content.
