Texas Mother Testifies Before House Judiciary Committee About Daughter’s Tragic Death

A Texas mother, Alexis Nungaray, shared the heartbreaking story of her 12-year-old daughter, Jocelyn, who was brutally strangled to death by two illegal immigrants from Venezuela. Nungaray appeared before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, holding back tears as she recounted the horrific details of her daughter’s murder.

Jocelyn was found strangled, her hands and ankles bound, and her body dumped in a bayou outside of Houston. Nungaray described the scene where her daughter was discarded like garbage, a sight that will haunt her forever.

The two suspects, Franklin Jose Pena Ramos and Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, allegedly committed the heinous act, leaving Jocelyn covered in cuts and gashes. Nungaray recalled the day she woke up to find her daughter missing, leading to a frantic search that ended in the devastating discovery of Jocelyn’s lifeless body.

Authorities later revealed that both suspects had entered the US illegally earlier in the year and were released into the country. Pena Ramos had requested asylum, citing safety concerns in Venezuela, while Rangel Martinez had his ankle monitor removed due to his clean criminal record.

Nungaray blamed the Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies for allowing the suspects to enter and remain in the US. She emphasized that her daughter’s killers should never have been released and were a danger to society.

Video evidence showed Jocelyn walking with the two men near the bayou before they were seen leaving the area without her. Nungaray expressed her anguish at imagining the fear and pain Jocelyn must have felt in her final moments.

“Individuals like that do not have a heart,” Nungaray declared. “They are nothing but monsters, predators that we allow into this country without consequences.”

Nungaray’s meeting with former President Donald Trump highlighted the ongoing debate over immigration policies and border security. As she continues to seek justice for her daughter, Nungaray hopes to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.
