Joe Exotic‘s husband, Jorge Marquez Flores, was released from prison and deported to Mexico immediately after, according to sources.
A representative for Joe Exotic confirmed that Jorge Marquez Flores, age 33, was deported to Mexico on Friday immediately after his release from a Texas prison.
Reports indicate that Jorge’s deportation occurred shortly after Joe Exotic shared on social media that Jorge was taken to an ICE Detention Center for a hearing regarding his residency status in the United States. Ultimately, he was sent back to Mexico.
Joe Exotic and Jorge Marquez Flores got engaged in October 2024 and tied the knot behind bars in April. Joe expressed his pride in Jorge on social media, stating, “Never been more proud of someone. Meet my husband, Jorge Flores Maldonado.”
Jorge Marquez Flores was serving time for immigration-related issues while Joe Exotic is currently incarcerated for 21 years due to his involvement in a murder-for-hire plot targeting Carole Baskin.
Joe Exotic had previously expressed concerns about Flores’ legal status in the United States and mentioned that they were pursuing asylum for him. It was also noted that they had plans to leave America once they were both out of prison.
