Joe Rogan recently discussed why a podcast interview with Vice President Kamala Harris has not yet materialized, following his widely-viewed interview with former President Donald Trump on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. Rogan expressed his desire for an interview with Harris during his conversation with Trump, but confirmed on social media that the Harris campaign has not yet agreed to appear on his podcast. Although an interview was offered for Tuesday, Rogan preferred to conduct the interview in his Austin studio and have a longer conversation with Harris.
While Harris’ campaign confirmed discussions about a possible appearance on Rogan’s podcast, scheduling conflicts prevented it from happening. Despite hopes of making the interview happen before Election Day, some social media users have expressed frustration at the casual rejection of such a high-profile interview. Rogan, known for hosting controversial figures on his show, has also interviewed progressives like Bernie Sanders and Andrew Yang in the past.
Rogan’s podcast, which recently signed a reported $250 million deal with Spotify, has become one of the most popular in the world since its launch in 2010. Harris, on the other hand, has been engaging in a media blitz of her own with appearances on various shows and podcasts. While Rogan hopes to have a meaningful conversation with Harris if she agrees to appear on his show, the interview has yet to come to fruition.
