Fitness influencer Brian Johnson, also known as the “Liver King,” found himself in hot water after making threatening posts towards Joe Rogan on social media. Rogan, a popular podcaster, described Johnson as “significantly unstable” to police after being alerted about the influencer’s erratic behavior.

The Austin Police Department was notified about Johnson’s disturbing Instagram videos where he expressed a desire to fight Rogan. Detectives discovered that Johnson had traveled to Austin, where Rogan resides, and continued to make threatening posts against the UFC commentator. Rogan, who had no prior interaction with Johnson, considered the posts to be threatening and expressed concern about Johnson’s mental state and possible drug issues.

After being arrested at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Johnson was charged with Terroristic Threat, a Class B misdemeanor. Rogan, who was unaware that he was being targeted by Johnson, expressed his belief that Johnson needed help due to his unstable behavior. Johnson, known for his ripped physique, had previously admitted to spending a significant amount of money on steroids to maintain his appearance.

Following his release on a $20,000 bond, Johnson was ordered to have no contact with Rogan or his family, undergo a mental health evaluation, and refrain from possessing firearms. Despite not being a guest on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Johnson had been mentioned on the show in discussions about bodybuilding and performance-enhancing drugs.

In his online rants, Johnson challenged Rogan to a fight while wearing a fur headdress and brandishing what appeared to be guns. He proclaimed his willingness to face Rogan despite his lack of training in jiu-jitsu, emphasizing that he had a family to fight for. Johnson’s behavior escalated until his arrest, with videos of his rants being posted on Instagram up until the moment he was taken into custody.

After his release, Johnson addressed his arrest in a video but only referred to Rogan as “some guy,” while mentioning Rogan’s comedy club, “Mothership.” Rogan has not publicly commented on Johnson’s arrest or the ongoing invitations to fight. The situation between the Liver King and Joe Rogan remains unresolved, with Johnson’s unstable behavior raising concerns about his well-being.
