Joey Logano, the accomplished driver behind Team Penske’s No.22 Ford, has recently ventured into the world of automotive retail by acquiring a stake in Kraus Auto Group’s Huntersville Ford dealership. With a strong belief in his racing success translating to vehicle sales, Logano aims to bring his expertise and passion to the business. This move is particularly significant as Huntersville Ford is Logano’s hometown dealership, adding a personal touch to his involvement.
Krause Auto Group, known for selling 18,622 vehicles in 2024, operates the Huntersville Ford dealership, which typically sells around 1,500 to 1,700 cars annually. Logano is expected to take a hands-on approach to the business, having dedicated time to educate himself about the industry over the past year. In a statement to Auto News, Logano expressed his excitement about the opportunity, mentioning, “There’s a lot to learn, but I also feel like I can bring a lot to the table. As a race car driver, you have an unfair advantage in business because I’m able to pretty much connect with about anyone I want to connect with, which is a great tool to have. The goal here is to take what Huntersville Ford already is in the Krause Auto Group, that’s grown an incredible business, and try to add a little bit more to it.”
The dealership’s General Manager, Stacy Cowan, plans to leverage Logano’s name and image to rebrand the dealership, aiming to enhance its visibility and appeal to customers.
In addition to his business endeavors, Logano also shared his perspective on Ford’s lineup, expressing appreciation for the brand’s commitment to offering fast, reliable, and unique vehicles. He highlighted Ford’s diverse range of cars, noting that even the practical models are designed with a cool factor in mind. As a proud owner of a Ford Mustang GTD, a 1924 Ford Model T, and an F-150 as his daily driver, Logano’s endorsement of Ford’s lineup carries weight in the automotive industry.
Despite facing challenges in the 2024 season, where he failed to defend his title and finished seventh in the standings, Logano remains optimistic about his racing career. With memorable moments like his victory at Texas Motor Speedway and a thrilling escape from elimination at Charlotte Roval, Logano’s competitive spirit and determination continue to drive him forward. Looking ahead, he remains focused on delivering top performances on the track and contributing to the success of Huntersville Ford dealership.
In conclusion, Joey Logano’s foray into automotive retail marks a new chapter in his career, blending his racing prowess with business acumen to make a lasting impact on the industry. With a passion for both cars and competition, Logano’s journey in the automotive world promises exciting developments and successes on and off the track.
